Team Bio

As an organization FCA was founded in 1954 with our first camp being held in Estes Park Colorado in 1956. FCA continues to host camps globally to this day. FCA Lacrosse teams became a reality in the summer of 1992 at the Vail Shootout. A group of key leaders got a team together to compete at the premier summer event. Not knowing how they would compete they quickly made a name for themselves when they beat the Green Turtle in double overtime; this would become known as “The Miracle on the Mountain.”
Since then, there have been FCA teams formed in different parts of the country; our FCA Upstate program started in 2010 out of Rochester, NY. Our program has Boys and Girls Field teams and Box lacrosse teams that compete year-round. Our program is for families that love the sport of lacrosse and have the openness to grow their Spiritual relationship with God. We have a commitment to teaching
Integrity, the importance of serving others, and teaching competitive excellence through the great sport of lacrosse.
We are excited for the opportunity to compete at the LWSC and thankful to the coaches for working with the team, the parents for their commitment to the team and program, and the players for their hard work. We often remind the players that the job of the coach is to love the players and the job of the players is to love each other; we are grateful for the platform of FCA that allows us to do that. We also feel that the strength of this team specifically represents the above statement. As we watch this team it is abundantly obvious that the coaches are dedicated to each of these players individually and collectively and the players care about their teammates and just enjoy being together.
