With Thunder Nationals, indigenous youth players have the unique opportunity to compete at a high level while embracing their cultural identity. Whether participating in local, regional, or national tournaments, our team showcases the immense talent and resilience of indigenous lacrosse players, with the aim of making a lasting impact in the lacrosse community at large.

Our team functions as a close-knit family, supporting one another’s growth, celebrating successes, and navigating challenges together. As part of our desire to grow the Creator’s game, the Thunder Nationals are inclusive and always open to building bridges by providing opportunities for non-indigenous players to compete as part of our team.
Our players proudly serve as ambassadors of indigenous culture, spreading awareness of the origins of dehontsigwaehs (“they bump hips”) and inspiring the next generation of indigenous youth players.
