Team Bio

Bob Miller and Kevin Goforth had a vision for a lacrosse club to serve the Philadelphia region and develop not only great players, but respectful, confident young men and women, and in 2006 they put this vision to practice by founding the Philadelphia Freedom lacrosse club. Nearly twenty years later, Freedom fields some of the most competitive teams in the southeast Pennsylvania region, winning championships and developing players ready for play at the next level.

One of those teams is the 2028 Red team, which just successfully defended its title in the NXT Spring League, where they’ve now been champions for three years running. They also were victorious in the Fall 2022 Sweetlax Sweet 16 tournament, in addition to numerous tournaments in previous seasons, and they’re looking forward to competing with the best teams in the country during their summer tournament season. The team is led by coaches Nick Taraborelli, Chris Teti and Bob Miller, who will look to get the most out of a group which is balanced across the phases of the game. The boys truly love playing the game together and always bring their trademark energy and passion to the field whenever they compete.

Philadelphia Freedom is honored to be playing in the World Series, and to represent themselves, the club, their families and their region in this incredible competition, both on and off the field! They intend to play with respect for their opponents, the fans and referees, and for the game and its history, as they strive for a World Championship!
